What People Say about Working Here

Ardell Monias

Youth Care Practioner – The Link North

I have always loved helping people, especially youth. I was sort of in a similar situation so I feel that I can relate to them a lot.

I just like being able to put a smile on someone’s face when they’re having a bad day.

Like one of my youth was upset crying in her room. I asked if she wanted to go outside and talk. She told me what was wrong and the conversation eventually turned into laughter and jokes and I knew she was going to be alright.

If I get to make that kind of difference in a youth’s life, it makes it worth it.
